Site Work Foreman Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Work Foreman to oversee and manage various construction projects from start to finish.
The Site Work Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, managing crew members, and collaborating with project managers to achieve project goals efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Team Management:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of construction workers, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
Resource Management:
Coordinate the procurement and utilization of materials, equipment, and manpower efficiently within budgetary constraints.
Quality Control:
Monitor work progress, inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, and address any deficiencies promptly.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure all workers follow safety guidelines and regulations.
Communication:
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, resolve issues, and provide regular progress updates.
Problem Solving:
Identify potential issues or risks on-site and develop effective solutions to mitigate these challenges in a timely manner.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work progress, and materials used for reporting purposes.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience (X years) working in a similar role within the construction industry, with a solid understanding of sitework procedures and practices.
Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Familiarity with construction software and tools.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Safety Awareness:
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within the construction industry.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications or licenses (if required) related to construction and site management.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional certification or degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as required on construction sites.
